GLASS BLOWERS IN LORRAINE
The designer glassmakers Guillaume RUDE and Sandrine ISAMBERT based their Fusion Libre workshop in Lorraine in 2009.
The Fusion libre workshop is the result of a partnership between two designer glassmakers:  Guillaume Rude, a glassblower and  Sandrine Isambert, a visual artist.
They both underwent vocational training as European journeymen glassmakers at the  CERFAV in 2002 and afterwards worked in various workshops in France and abroad (Luxembourg and the Czech Republic) and later at the Meisenthal International Centre for the Glass Arts, before setting up their own glassblowing workshop in 2009 near the « Inclined Plane« , one of Lorraine’s most widely visited sites.
Choosing to site their business on the reconverted site of a former glassworks enabled them to benefit from numerous machines and tooling from the Azviller crystal factory. The company includes a shop and a craft workshop.
Their talent, which has been amply demonstrated by the different prizes awarded to them in various competitions is also used on behalf of designers, decorators and professionals of all kind to produce custom-made items.
